There's a new book out called Lafitte's Black Box by Jake Webber. A book signing is in New Orleans on Oct 17 at the Maple Street Bookstore uptown. Here's a link to the book on Amazon.com for those interested. The book is an action/adventure set in New Orleans.

This last weekend's Portland Pirate Festival will be one for the record books. On Sunday, 1,651 people dressed in piratical attire gathered together in Portland, Oregon to set the Guinness Book of World Records for the "Most Pirates in One Place". The previous record was 1,469 in Brixham, England in May of this year. A few brave ninja also made an appearance.

Pirates to take over Disney Wonder in March
