The Spanish Pirates, inside their Spanish Pirate bar in their Spanish Pirate Ship!

People who liked the movies generally are positive about the changes. Speaking as someone who only saw one of the three films (due to disinterest) the changes are an intrusion and ruin the illusion. To me, sticking Dr. Zoidberg (I don't know squidface's real name) and Johnny Depp into the mix is almost as bad as them deciding to include Capt. Feathersword. (Wiggles reference)

It wouldn't take much to go back to the old school though, for the most part all it would take would be to shut off the music in the grotto and ship battle scenes, turn the fog machine off for Squidface and turn back on the original sound track there, shut off the squid voice on the way up the waterfall, and just put the clothes and the face of the Blackbeard captain back on board the Wench while turning off the new dialog for the old one. Sounds like a lot, but really its just a few flicks of a switch... minus the captain... Of course that still leaves Dep in 3 scenes of the ride, but seeing how he doesn't talk or make much of a stir in 2 of the 3, I say leave him in for the kids or fans of the newer stuff. In the end, it would be middle ground for all fans, a compromise, and disney wouldn't have to admit complete defeat! Easy and done, lets get right on that gentlemen, weigh anchor ye swabies...

I was at WDW's POTC this past weekend and I was even more disappointed than before. The new music sucks, the clouds projected on the ceiling weren't moving, and the "pirates' life for me"song wasn't heard until the burning city scene. I can't help but be negative about it. I wish they never made those damn depp movies and just left it the way it was. Is that their idea of "plussing"?
