For the last 3 Saturdays, there has been no projection of Davy Jones on the fogscreen. Maybe Disney has decided the name and voice is good enough and feel the visual has worn out it's welcome.

Someone over at MiceChat also mentioned that the Davy Jones effect at WDW has not been working as of late. Just audio and fog, but no projection.
Perhaps the projector is on the fritz?

Chances are it's a glitch, and they're working on it. Have to admit that it's a nice effect, if the timing is right for your bateaux, and you
don't miss the loop.
Hopefully things will be back to normal soon. If anyone finds any more info about the subject, please report here. I was planning a trip to WDW for sometime soon, but unfortunately it doesn't look like it will happen now. Cheers, JOHN :0) |

It often happens in the PotC ride that something gets taken out for maintenance, odds are it's just that yeah.

It was working on Friday December 5th when I was there. I like the talking skull better, though.
BTW I thought the Monkee Davy Jones post was really funny. To me, he's just as relevant as the squid davy.

And the Monkee picture did have a Disney connection. It was taken at the America's Garden theater in Epcot.

The last time I rode POTC there was no Davy Jones effect. I can't remember if that was when we went to MNSSHP - I don't think I have been over there
since, as I got sick right after that....
